Gimmie’s Countess produced a great first run in the Cape, winning the Grade 3 Diana Stakes with relative ease. She, one again, faces a decent field in this Grade 2 WC Fillies Championship, but her class should prevail and see her earn back-to-back wins.
Race 8 (16:10) – Pink Pigeon
Pink Pigeon was rewarded for her consistency last time out, winning at the third time of asking, after two finishes as runner-up. Richard Fourie takes the reigns for the first time and this daughter of Querari should come on nicely from her last outing and relish the extra ground.
