The penultimate weekend before the Betway Summer Cup begins at Fairview as another eight-race program awaits on the polytrack.

Race 1 (12:30) – Fantasy Girl
Fantasy Girl looks the right horse to start all weekend multiples with Richard Fourie on board for the Alan Greeff stable. The 3-year-old daughter of Global View has been in consistent form and will relish the drop in trip to the 1000m. It’s encouraging that Fourie has retained the ride.
Race 3 (13:40) – Joy And Peace
Joy And Peace drops in trip to a mile and could potentially give the Richard Fourie-Alan Greeff combination another winner for the day. The 4-year-old filly has run two encouraging races after five successive wins and should return to winning ways here.
Race 6 (15:25) – Montelena
Montelena looks to be one of the best bets on the card. She’s been in decent form of late and has placed in her last five races. She finished a quarter of a length behind the talented Eyjafjallajokull in her last start, who has come out to win again since. With Calvin Habib aboard, I’m confident she can return to the winner’s enclosure.
