The first meeting of the week gets underway at Hollywoodbets Durbanville for an exciting 10-race program.

Race 1 (12:10) – GOODNESSGRACIOUSME
GOODNESSGRACIOUSME gets the nod as the top selection in the opening race on Tuesday. The Justin Snaith-trained filly ran a decent effort on debut with multiple winners coming out of that form line. Extra confidence comes with the booking of stable jockey, Richard Fourie.
Race 2 (12:45) – HONOR OF KINGS
Once again, the Snaith yard look worth following, this time with jockey Grant van Niekerk on board. HONOR OF KINGS is a well-related brother of Princess Calla and quite encouraging that van Niekerk has stuck with the ride. He had a wide draw to contend with and lost a length at the start on debut. From a neater draw and experience under his belt, he can win this contest.
Race 3 (13:20) – PINK PIGEON
PINK PIGEON looks full value for money in this tightly contested field. The daughter of Querari finished runner-up on debut behind Be Merry, who has come on to win again and frank the formline. With the extra ground, she should find herself fighting at the finish.
Race 4 (13:55) – FATHER CHRISTMAS
The betting market will be the biggest indicator whether FATHER CHRISTMAS will be worth having a punt on, however, nothing from the field stands out for me. He did cost R1.1 Million and has a neat draw of barrier four. If not in need of it, he could be the one to follow.
Race 5 (14:30) – KAMCHATA
This looks like the best bet on the card. This is relatively a weak field and with the natural improvement KAMCHATA is making, she should trounce this field with ease.
Race 6 (15:05) – PAS DE NOM
PAS DE NOM opened up at a decent price of around 8/1 with Hollywoodbets and that price won’t be available closer to race time. Stable jockey, Craig Zackey, is back aboard the son of Rafeef and should keep his unbeaten record intact over this course and distance.
Race 7 (15:35) – STATE CAPITOL
This looks to be one of the toughest races to call on the card. STATE CAPITOL is the top choice though who was impressive in her last outing, winning by over a length. The horse she beat came out to frank the form and with that in mind, she should give the males a run for their money.
Race 8 (16:15) – SAIL THE SEAS
One of the more confident selections come in race 8 in the form of SAIL THE SEAS.The son of Vercingetorix produced a fairly decent comeback run and looks to have the quality to beat the older horses. Extra respect for this colt with Fourie on board.
Race 9 (16:45) – TAMBOURINE MAN
TAMBOURINE MAN- comes perfectly prepped into this race, having his third run after a break. Bar his last outing, the son of Twice Over holds some consistent form lines to his name. With Grant van Niekerk aboard, he could make his presence felt.
Race 10 (17:20) – SHIFTING PATH
SHIFTING PATH looks to be maturing nicely at this age and has been in some fine form of late. He goes for the hat-trick of wins here and looks the horse that they all have to beat.
